Before you shoot a gun, you must know and practice all of the Core Firearm Safety Rules. These rules are to keep you, fellow shooters, and our workers safe.
Always treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
Always keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction.
Always keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
Always keep your firearm on safe until you intend to fire.
Eye and ear protection are mandatory while on the range.
If you observe any unsafe situation alert a Range Safety Officer immediately.
Never cross the firing line for any reason. Alert a Range Safety Officer to help retrieve a fallen item.
All firearms must be holstered and/or cased while entering, exiting, or on the premises, unless you are in your shooting stall.
If you do not know how to operate your firearm or have a malfunction of any kind, please alert a Range Safety Officer immediately to help you. Keep your firearm on the bench and pointed down range during this time.
No black powder, incendiary or tracer rounds are allowed to be fired at our facility.
Only slugs are allowed to be fired through a shotgun.
No green tip, steel core, armor penetrating, or tracer ammunition is allowed on the range.
If you hear the command “CEASE FIRE” from any staff member or shooter, please place your firearm on the bench pointed down range and move to the back to await further instructions.
Shooters may collect their own brass behind the firing line.
If you bring more than one firearm, we recommend that you uncase only one at a time. This will reduce the chance of loading the wrong ammunition and will allow you the space to shoot comfortably without interference.
Commands issued by a Range Safety Officer are final and to be obeyed.
To return rental inventory please notify the RSO.
Rifle calibers up to .458 permitted in 50 yard range only.
For safety and visibility, we limit lanes to no more than 4 people at one time.
Never use alcohol or drugs prior to coming to Texas Gun Experience. We reserve the right to refuse service to or remove individuals from the facility who are suspected of being under the influence.
Always keep your children at arm’s length.
Do not bring food, drinks, or vaping and tobacco products on to the range.
Only case or un-case your firearms on the bench inside your stall.
Do not participate in unsafe activities. Foul language, horseplay or any other activities deemed unsafe by our staff will not be permitted.
If you must move a firearm from one stall to another Alert a Range Safety Officer for help or ensure it is in its case or bag before moving.
Wash your hands prior to leaving our facility to remove lead and other shooting contaminants.
Rapid Fire and/or double tapping is permitted in 2-3 round bursts. However, we reserve the right to stop and prevent future rapid-fire sessions if we witness unsafe firearm handling, including loss of firearm control.
Drawing and Shooting from a holster may be limited to certain hours. Ask Range Check-in when you arrive to see if draw and shoot is available. This will not be available during peak hours. We reserve the right to stop and prevent future draw from holster sessions if we witness unsafe firearm handling, including loss of firearm control.
Shoot at Texas Gun Experience faster by electronically signing our waiver before your arrival. No one wants to wait to shoot.

If you’re visiting Texas Gun Experience from another U.S. state, it’s important to follow the proper procedures for transporting firearms across state lines. Here are the key points you need to keep in mind:
Firearm Transportation Rules:
Under federal law, you are allowed to travel with firearms through states as long as they are transported in accordance with regulations. Your firearm should be:
Unloaded.
Stored in a locked container or the trunk of your vehicle (for private vehicle transport).
Not readily accessible during your trip.
Legal Documentation:
You do not need a Texas-specific permit to bring a firearm into the state, but you will need valid identification (a state-issued ID or driver’s license). If you’re carrying a concealed firearm, ensure you have the appropriate permit recognized by Texas law.
Texas Concealed Carry:
Texas law recognizes concealed carry permits from other states. If you have a concealed carry permit from another state, you can carry your weapon in Texas, including in some indoor gun ranges, as long as you follow the state’s rules.
What Texas Gun Experience Requires:
If you are bringing your own firearm, you can use it at the Texas Gun Experience, but the facility may ask you to complete a safety waiver or undergo a brief safety orientation if you haven’t been there before. They also provide firearm rentals, so if you prefer not to bring your own, you can rent one at the range.
Traveling internationally with firearms is a bit more complicated than traveling within the U.S., but the Texas Gun Experience makes it easier for international visitors. Here’s a guide to ensure you’re compliant with both U.S. and Texas firearm regulations:
Valid passport.
Proof of firearm ownership (if bringing your own gun).
ATF import permit (if required).
Airline firearm declaration form.
Identification (e.g., driver’s license) to show the range upon arrival.
If you’re traveling internationally and don’t want to bring your own firearm, Texas Gun Experience offers an extensive selection of rental firearms. The staff will help you choose a firearm based on your experience level, and you’ll receive a safety briefing before using the range.
When entering the U.S. with firearms, there are several things you must do to ensure you’re compliant with the law:
Declare Your Firearm:
All firearms entering the U.S. must be declared to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). You’ll need to fill out a declaration form and show any required documents, such as proof of ownership.
ATF Permit: If you’re not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, you’ll need a special permit from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Airline Requirements:
Different airlines have their own rules for transporting firearms, so it’s crucial to check their specific requirements for firearm transport. In general, firearms must be unloaded and stored in a hard, locked case. Declare your firearm at the check-in counter.
Once You Arrive in Texas:
After passing through U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), you are free to travel within Texas and visit gun ranges like Texas Gun Experience. However, remember that Texas law requires compliance with the state’s gun laws, including transportation and usage rules.
